NIGERIAN WOMAN CAUGHT SHOPLIFTING WHILE ON HOLIDAY IN AMERICA

Caught stealing goods worth over $2,000 at Macy Oak Park Mall, in Johnson County, United States, Jennifer Akudihor mother-of-three has been charged for shop lifting.

Akudihor traveled to the United States with her children on a holiday. She was arrested after a CCTV footage showed her stealing over 50 different items, including clothes and accessories which she hid under her child's stroller.

Akudihor had her passport seized and has been charged with a felony, her bail is set at $2,500.

According to the spokesperson for the Overland Park Police Department, Sgt. Gary Mason, “…she was very apologetic and remorseful, and that does go a long way, so I think it does help in this situation.”

“Everybody has a story. There is always a lot of reasons why people do this, and it’s not for us to decide. It’s up to the court and the judge to look at her case,” he said.

"Now she’s going to have some legal problems that she’s going to have to deal with,” Mason added.
