700 ASYLUM SEEKERS CROSS FROM AUSTRIA INTO GERMANY

German police have reported that a whoping total of about 700 have now crossed the boarder into Germany. 700 are expected to follow soon.
"The situation is very tense," said Reiner Scharf, spokesman for the federal police Rosenheim, a German border town.
